I'm craving for rice cake!

It’s been a month that I craved for a rice cake (biko). I already bought rice but I can’t find coconut milk in the grocery store. I was wondering if I could use the milk instead of the coconut milk. LOL! Gosh! I missed all the Filipino foods especially sweets. Hopefully, we could visit the Filipino store this weekend so I can cook the rice cake soon. I’m really craving for it. I even missed eating cassava cake, too. Holy cow! No wonder I never lose weight because I love to eat desserts. Well, I can’t resist eating sweets. As you can see in the picture, it looks really yummy. Huh! You probably crave, too. LOL! Just kidding!

Operation Mojo

I love to watch any movie at home. Just to keep me alive! I still watch TV while blogging at the same time. It’s very boring sitting in front of the computer all the time. I like to watch comedy, suspense, scary and anything I would think I enjoy watching. I even love to watch cartoons. That’s how crazy I am. Well, I’ve heard that the Naked Brothers Band Alex and Nat will have their new premier this coming Saturday, November 22. It sounds fun! I guess this kids are very popular not only in the music industry but to the acting as well. I hate this mentality!

Yesterday, my husband asked me if we could have our dinner at the Filipino Restaurant near our place. Of course, I nodded immediately since I miss eating Filipino foods. It’s been many months that I crave for lechon kawali (roasted pig). So I thought it would be the perfect time to have our dinner there. We arrived at about 7pm in the restaurant. I was the first one who sat down the table. And, I already smell something different. The waitress not even asked me what I want. She gave us the menu after she saw my husband with me. But, I still never think negative about it. Perhaps, she is just tired asking me. Then, she went back and gets all our orders. So, we waited until I found her serving foods to the group who arrived after us. I was really pissed since my husband doesn’t eat for about 7 hours. And, what makes me even upset is that we waited for about 1 hour. What’s happening to this restaurant? It’s really a shame. We were the first to arrive and we got our food last. Gosh! There are really some Filipinos who behave very different to their own race. No wonder they don’t have enough customers since they are particular to groups not couple. I thought it’s first come first serve but I’m definitely wrong. Sigh! I promise we will not be coming back. I don’t care if I can’t eat Filipino foods anymore. There food is not that good so why will I waste my time to their restaurant. And, hey, they have the expensive prices in town. LOL! Well, that’s all for rants. At least, I already express what I feel right now. Hopefully, they wont do it to others.

I've learn my mistakes!

I had a funny experience today. I was cooking bake pasta with chicken and some vegetables. Then, I screwed up with the pasta. It taste like a crap. I was very upset since I don’t have any pasta left that I’ll use to cook. So to make it short, I use the crap pasta that taste so bad and mix it with all the ingredients. And, I come up with the idea of mixing it with a Campbell chicken cream, vegetables and a lot of cheese on it. I was really praying that my husband would not complain about it. And, guess what? He loves it. He even asked for more. I was really laughing by myself since I never thought he would like it. I know how choosy my husband was in terms of food. He will really tell you the truth if he doesn’t like the food. I really thought that I would eat the meal by myself. Thanks God! I feel a bit relief. I don’t want to waste any food and I don’t want to eat a whole meal either. I was really save. LOL! Gosh! It’s really hard to be a chef. You can’t expect a perfect meal unless you’re a good chef. But, anyway, I learn my mistakes. I should not drop EC card while cooking.

Just a rant!

Yesterday, my husband and I had an argument. Yeah, I made him mad. He wanted me to drive but I refused because I’m afraid to drive in snow. He told me that I wouldn’t be able to learn if I have a lot of alibis. I don’t know what’s happening to me why I’m very afraid to drive in snow. I’ve tried driving in the rain but I don’t have a the guts to drive if its snowing. I’m already hopeless. Gosh! I’ve been crying all night thinking what going to happen if I’ll be stocked in the house for another 4 months. This is really making me crazy. I want to get out and work. I don’t want to be idle for many months. But, I don’t know why I’m so chicken. I’m afraid to drive in the snow. I want to slap myself and able to wake up. Sorry if I keep whining over my post but I’m really confuse right now. I can’t tell my parents what I feel. I don’t know what to do. Hopefully, God will answer my prayers. I just need some strengths and courage. That’s all I need.

My Favorite TV Show Host!

I guess most of you are already familiar of Tyra Banks. And, perhaps you’ve been watching her reality TV shows the Tyra Banks Show and American Top Model. But, I prefer watching Tyra Banks Show since it’s more fun and exciting. You can learn a lot from love life, entertainment, beauty and fashion to hot topics, teen issues and health. I really enjoyed watching her show. Even if I was still in the Philippines, I don’t remember missing one episode. LOL! That’s how crazy I am. I just like the way she is. She’s goofy sometimes and I love her convictions. She made me feel confident for myself, too. I remember one episode; it’s all about acceptance and loving yourself in spite of being fat. She even revealed how she encounters negative feedbacks or being called fat by other people. Though, I don’t think she’s fat. She looks very fabulous and sexy women for me. Anyway, she’s a really brave woman. She deserves the fame and respect. And, I’m happy I can watch her show again Monday through Friday every noon. Gosh! I thought I wouldn’t able to watch her show again. It’s hard if you don’t have cable TV. Well, I’m already relieved now after knowing the new schedule of Tyra show. Keep it up Tyra! Wish I could see you in person.
